Self – Refined

We live in an age where misspoken words are scarcely forgiven; since they have filed themselves permanently in our screenshot galleries. Forgiveness comes only after an appropriate degree of forgetfulness.

Reasonably must we re-word the opinions we share.

Once an angel without wings, forced my eyes open to my indiscretion. Vividly she painted a future in which my children stumble onto my casual disregard. More then lifelike, but a warning of the most likely reality.

Regret is a flower with roots laced in fear, showered in milk white sour petals appear. The sun will make rotten what once it made ripely and rain will feed lands it had once let perish.

A filter requires a dam to restrain the vapid.

Habits like thorns prick thumbs and to each leaves a law; do not say words not worth repeating, and do not type thoughts that are not worth speaking.

Rarely do intentions and actions align.

Who masters patience and virtuous diplomacy will witness greatness in their time, a purpose; truly self-refined.

Blind – Rendition

‘Tis not determination that motivates blind-ambition.
It is the sense of completeness through the ambitious;
Quick fix for a fractured self.

What separates those who live in bliss,
from those who live in pursuit of it ..
The insomniac’s dream.
Days dressed up as nights; rest without peace.

A resourceful man makes use of his dreams.
Taking pleasure in two worlds where most have but one.
Two sources of happiness whereas the ignorant have none.

If only i knew where I am,

I could say where I’ve been.

I’m backward moving forward,

In between winds.

If life has taught me anything,

It is everything.

If all the things my eyes have seen,

All disarranged, worth less than a dream.

Fountain Of Youth

The alliance between imagination and creation is a paragon of beauty.
It is this union that is the very quintessence of life, evolution, and relationships. The threshold of existence: a fuse sparks air into lungs. At our peak, the embodiment of youth and wonderment.

It is no coincidence that at the entrance of life, we are both overflowing with infinite potential, and ultimately unaware of what is and what isn’t. Creation is the strength and imagination is the rest.
Not to be ignored are the benefits attained only when the conscious mind has a chance to be as it once was: free.

Age may birth wisdom, but time exhausts arrogance. That is what devours youth, turns hair white and shortens tempers. Like a whip to the neck, circulation between possibility and reality wanes. Slow and steady wilting from within resulting in the loss of energy, buoyancy and joie de vivre.

Intolerance and impatience leave us dwindling toward an early death. Forgetting that while a soul may grow old with you, the spirit always dies young.

Never were ideas, thoughts and opinions meant to be recycled, especially not between generations. Regardless, this is our world and reality; if it must be, let it be. The best thing we can do is give time to reverie.

Onto planes we board; one at a time, we rush to seats and steady for takeoff. Confident in a stranger with a title – entrusting lives to a “captain” who is quick to hand our fate over to auto-pilot. Trading the logical for convenience.

We are all capable of leaping faith — this time in the universe. With assurance and hope, allow your inner child to take flight.

Aspire to grow yet never age, to bloom yet never wilt. Gift yourself with youth by sacrificing a few moments, surrender to the abstract. Abandon all beliefs, facts, and knowledge, let the mind recharge and reconnect with its genesis. A fountain of youth; undeveloped and unburdened, imagination springs.

& If by count we measure age, life is but one.

Act of Reality

It is a strange concept; reality.

Every person goes through so many different versions in a lifetime.
Racing toward new stages, slowly changing the way we perceive ourselves through public eyes.

A masked jury; all playing roles in each other’s tragedies.
Merciful are the critics; ruthless are the devoted, and persuasive is the judge.

Avid, the scene always set for the act that has yet to begin.
Often we become immersed in the drama and surrender to the audience.

We memorize yesterdays lines and appear disappointed with our character.

But never the less, it is our story.
Our frustration and chaos that will one day push the limits of confusion, and bring restless minds to clarity.
For every thousand unanswered question, there are more than two thousand possible answers.

Acceptance of the uncertain, it is the key to living.

To be conscious enough to narrate, and unconscious enough to enjoy the show.

Addicted to The Fall

Focusing on the ground is what first led man to his downfall.
The more time spent on the worthless, the more our concept of value is deluded.

Sparked by obsession evolved an addiction. Where once we stood a line with the rest of the universe, we now spiral. Surrendering control, caused a disconnection between us, and all life around us.

Addiction is a plague, a vicious cycle of hunger and satisfaction. It knows nothing of reason or mercy in the pursuit of a fix.
After so long, man has adapted to imbalance and grown accustomed to the illusion of progress. Forgetting the fall let alone how to stand.

We continuously build bigger and grander platforms to display our incompetence, unknowingly pushing any hope of redemption farther and farther away. We have become slaves to our thoughts, seeking self-worth and admiration from peers who are by no means qualified to rank.

Never satisfied, always reaching for that which we do not possess. Harmful to all in our path, we grow weaker as we give away our precious energy to the development of our poison. We see only through dead or excited eyes.

Products of motion, evolving is in our nature. But it is not a certainty, to grow one must give time and return value. Aline our spine with the Earth, instead of our car seats.
Acknowledge our fall and manifest an intention to stand. Watch as those who continue on the impossible quest for peace fade away from your reality. Send them a silent prayer and bask in a new bliss, in perpetual happiness.

Mother Nurture

From the beginning,

he cried when he needed you.

Only you could translate the need behind his cry.

The best intentions go well with a quick wit. If a mother seeks knowledge on how to help raise her child, then the teacher is found in the baby’s eyes.

You may wish for daughters & sons who heed your advice. Hopefully, you will be lucky and bare children with a healthy appetite for life.

If fate has gifted you a baby that is too heavy with light, then surely you know who you are.

Upon this discovery, you must directly start trying to accept the fact that from now on that child will have a 3rd parent. Acknowledging your partnership and be honored for only the strongest are picked for this team, and there are but few.

When the time comes, and you have done your part, feel relief and be reassured. They are in the capable hands of life, for now.

.. and from the beginning, she cried when she needed you. Only you can translate the need behind her cry..

This is how we are programmed. No matter the age when your child feels as vulnerable as a newborn, she cries in a language only you can translate. The key is just to listen with the intention of understanding.

& for those who have hearts that can’t bear to see them suffer through: Remember the times you told those white lies, whenever it came time to make trips to the doctor. Meaning, if the only way is for your child to get better is to let life teach her from her mistakes. And your intentions are selfless and pure. Then the kindest most compassionate thing one could do is to help guide her into one of life’s many booby traps. Think of it like this way at least your dropping her off at the hospital instead of just rushing her out the door.

PS: Nurture the things that made you and remember a healthy spirit is both satisfied and ambitious. Don’t forget about you. The hardest thing for a child to witness is the falling of their hero.

Keeping Score

That which gives us oxygen gives us wisdom. A tree knows nothing of the concept of time, nor does it compare measurements. It is the tree which stands over us closer to the sky then our own hands could ever reach. Humanity continues to be satisfied living in stunted evolution accepting it as a casualty of keeping score.

I remember it now, we were walking through the busy streets of Phuket when I saw an old man who sold fortunes. He read my palm and asked my birthdate. He looked at me and laughed softly to himself, then said: “most women wish for a prince but only a few care whether it was he who built his own throne”…

I thought I knew right away what he meant. Honestly, I didn’t really give it much thought at the time. I just smiled and asked, “Well, what should someone like me do?”   He replied, “Marry a carpenter” ..

I never really understood the truth behind his possibly meaningless words.

Only now I begin to see that the taller my branches become, the stronger my roots must be.

& none may be more familiar to my wild then a woodcutter.

& none more protective of my fiery nature.

The Prison Man Carries

To imprison one’s self is unjust. It is to ourselves which we show the least mercy. We condemn generations to be the product of cruelty.

If inmate births inmate; incarcerated blood will flow. Heavy, it sinks.

With time, those who know no other reality mistake confinement for freedom and cells for homes. Accepting life as a punishment instead of a blessing. How very human of us, to allow populations to be plagued by such ignorance.

To see reason in the unreasonable. We made Earth our Alcatraz. We have forgotten the real face of freedom.

We take pride in being a superior species, top of the food chain. This belief makes our constant belittling of all other species completely understandable. We have become oblivious to the fact that in our vanity and ignorance we have made a crucial mistake in our own self-knowledge.

For the food chain that was passed down through iron bars, was handed to us upside down. Placing humans at the bottom, equivalent to what we would consider self-reproducing bacteria.

Not only due to rank, but also in the importance to the survival of the Earth..
